    • Synopsis
    • ROBERTO and LAURA are a couple of husband and wife who have been married for 15 years. They get to a hotel room after what looks like their wedding night, drunk, bonded and happy. They keep celebrating, they offer the first toast "to that place they are in".
They ask themselves about how "that place" will look like. The happiness of LAURA for her liberation overcomes ROBERTO´s sadness whom must give up for love, given the difficulty of assuming the illness of his wife and the decision made. In the middle of a series of laughter and uncomfortable silences ROBERTO takes two shot guns tied up to his thighs, puts them on the night table next to a bottle of champagne and kisses LAURA. ROBERTO makes love to her, she doesn´t feel any pleasure since her illness has paralyzed her body from the waist down. She just tries to rush it till she reaches the moment that matters to her. ROBERTO finishes his thing and falls exhausted on LAURAS´s chest, then he falls asleep. After a few beats she wakes him up, it's time to deliver the plan. They load the shot guns, LAURA moves first taking ROBERTO´s hand (the one that holds the gun) and place it into her own mouth. Then, the same thing with her gun into his mouth. They both close their eyes and count till three, none of them is able to shoot. They talk about what if any of them would have had shot to the other, they break into tears. They are embraced while they have the same revelation: LAURA takes the gun from ROBERTO, they seal that revelation with a kiss. Both deeply understanding He gets up and leaves all defeated.
LAURA is alone in the room, grabs ROBERTO's gun. She holds it in his hands and takes it to her mouth, makes an inner and silent count: One ... two ...
