    • A Haitian immigrant in Brazil, Espera is always thinking about new ways to get the money he sends monthly to his family in Haiti. One day, an old friend from home asks him to identify her brother’s corpse at a morgue. Espera needs to find out the cause of this death. He knows that the only way to do so is through voodoo, but he thinks that bad things can happen if he enters into contact with spirits. This investigation into the death of his friend brings us on a discovery of Sao Paolo’s Haitian community and its music.
