- Synopsis
- Eva, a seven year old girl lives with her parents and a younger brother. Her life consists of playful moments and observing nature with the help of her grandmother. Everything seems to be going smoothly until the moment Eva accidentally sees her parents in the act of love. This spectacle, unbearably mysterious and violent, causes fear and curiosity at the same time. The following day Eva learns from her school mates at the swimming pool that the consequence of this act (which actually remains enigmatic to the end) is the arrival of a new child in the family. Eva concludes that the mother will gradually gain weight and in the end a child will emerge from her body. This possibility brings about the deepest concern and marks the beginning of an obsession. Henceforth Eve starts living through her fantasies, trying to prevent the supposed arrival of the new baby.
