    • Synopsis
    • Set high in the Tirolian Mountains on a secluded farm, a young brother and sister survive off the land with no one to rely on but each other. Their mother is now dying and the children must keep it a secret for fear that social services will separate them when they are orphaned.Their vulnerability is soon taken advantage of by the Mayor’s Son (Sam Vauramo, “Tears of April”), and his friend (Gustaf Skasgrard, “Evil”), who assault and rape the girl.
When an outsider from the city comes to investigate, and the Mayor (Peter Stormare, “Fargo”) covers up the sinful crime, setting in motion a thrilling story of survival and redemption, culminating with an epic mountain hunt.
Inspired by the stunning and poetic visuals of “Tree of Life” and the taut suspense of thinking man’s thrillers like “No Country for Old Men”, Director Markus Blunder brings his three-decade-long, track record for award-winning commercials, short films and music videos to an International film audience.
