Autonomous is a shockingly visceral and evocative film about a young man’s attempt to reinvent this world from first principles in the face of modern technology, rampant Globalisation and the myth of relentless human progress. Leaving the city behind and living off only the food he can find by the side of the road, killed by passing vehicles, he creates an alternative existence in a post-industrial landscape.
