- Synopsis
- In 1968, General Juan Velasco Alvarado took the Presidency of Peru by coup d'état and proposed a decisive and revolutionary goal for national self-esteem: that Peruvians be the first humans to reach the Moon. An army officer, an air captain and a mathematician are summoned to carry out this top secret mission. Three Peruvians with dissimilar personalities and social origin, begin a strict training.
  
  Peruvians trying to get to the moon? This would only seem like a delusion if the hand of the Soviet government were not behind. Aware of General Velasco's objective, the Russians provide knowledge and machinery to carry out the most seasoned and fastest plan. A plan that seems disinterested, but uses Peruvians as guinea pigs to accelerate its own space race and defeat its enemies to the north.
  
  In June 1969, a month before Apollo 11 makes history, with all odds against it and without the express consent of the Soviet Union, the Tumi II space rocket leaves for the moon. The feat of three Peruvian astronauts that no one has dared to narrate due to the uncertainty of its outcome, will soon be revealed to the world.
