- Synopsis
- Asta is a caring, well-mannered and environmentally conscious globetrotter with the unique ability to travel with the wind. A breeze, a blizzard or a mere draught may carry her to the other side of the world, where she helps new friends face the challenges of growing up, in an ever-changing ecosystem. From Egypt to Hawaii and from Beijing to Reykjavik, Asta learns more about geography, life and climate change with each trip, forming an ‘environmental squad’ of children attuned to saving the world, one tree, coral reef or renewable energy source at a time.
  Hers is a story of a butterfly effect in reverse.
  
  The series is being developed in close collaboration with the author and the illustrator of the original books featuring Asta the Hurricane, one of the most popular children's’ book series in Russia. The Hellenic Public Broadcasting (E.R.T.) and Peter Publishing House have expressed interest to be involved as co-producer/broadcaster and distributor in Greece and Russia respectively.
