- As we mark the 15th anniversary of the US military’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy, filmmaker Johnny Symons ventured to explore its affect. The policy was created to allow gay men and women to join the US military without being asked about their sexual orientation, but with the restriction that they don’t disclose it themselves. The documentary exposes the tangled political battle that led to the discriminatory law, and profiles charismatic young activists determine to abolish it.
