    • Synopsis
    • Anand (30), a Mumbai-based call center worker is forced to spend the ten-day mourning period at his village following the loss of his father at the behest of his mother, a place he has avoided vising for many years.

Post cremation, as the austere ten-day mourning starts, Anand faces relentless badgering from the relatives to marry. Anand misses this father, his biggest support. His mother, aware of Anand’s sexuality remains neutral.

Anand, feeling stifled, finds solace in his childhood friend Baalya (30), a farmer, who asks Anand to join him to graze goats. Baalya, out only to Anand, has used the “educated girls favoring city-dwellers over farmers” as a ruse to stay unmarried but still is being forced by his family to get married.

Attempting to escape pressures, the two men begin to spend time together. Though hailing from different worlds, they connect over their common struggle. With each passing day their intimacy blooms emotionally and physically, will their burgeoning bond survive beyond the ten days?

“Arms of Man” explores bonds that develop under duress and their future.
