    • A sumptuous palace, sublime jewels, shimmering saris. Imagine the India of fairy tales and legend. Imagine a city built on a mountain overlooking the Ganges. A city offered to Man by the Gods in order for it to shine like a beacon of light on Earth and chase away all of the dark forces forever. The mountain is hollow and sitting at its heart, is a light that pulsates for each and every child in the city. But sadly, the evil Queen Vana has taken over the city and sworn to extinguish the heart of light by ridding the city of all its children. One child escapes her grasp. Ten year old Arjuna, son of a laundress from the slums of the lower part of town. He is an elephant driver and he bides his time between classes with Dalsim, the hermit and playing with Ganou, his plump, chatterbox, elephant, whose appetite is only outdone by his laziness. One day, Arjuna meets Shami, a young girl from the upper part of town and this improbable encounter is going to send Arjuna hurtling headfirst into an incredible destiny: With the help of Ganou, who harbors hidden magical powers, he is going to save the city of light. Ganou it turns out, is actually the god Ganesha, and he has been sent on a mission to help Arjuna take control of the city. Because the rightful King, is none other than…Arjuna!
