    • Synopsis
    • A suicidal widower relocates to LA and becomes involved with a manic-pixie transexual.
Early Landry, recently widowed and living in Mississippi, slits his wrists in the bathtub. His older sister, Laurette, insists that he moves to Los Angeles where she lives in Brentwood and works as a high-powered producer. As Early explores his new city he gets to know Hollywood and finds that he much prefers it to Brentwood. To Laurette’s horror he rents an one-bed apartment in a bad area and moves out. He gets to know his neighbors, including pre-op transsexual Freda. The pair become friends and the relationship develops. Laurette struggles to understand the new relationship, but after failing to find the right label for himself Early simply admits that Freda makes him happy. It could be fun. It could be anything.
