    • Synopsis
    • Ahimska is a serial killer who lived during the lifetime of the Buddha, more than 2,500 years ago. Though born a Brahmin, the highest caste in Indian society, he was predestined to become a mass murderer, causing destruction and death to everyone around him. Ahimsaka starts killing every soul he encounters, from travelers in the forest to evildoers who deny the holy law of the devas. He collects his victims' fingers into a garland, or mala, and wears it around his neck, leading him to be called the Bandit Angulimala. One day, he comes to the realisation that his pursuit of the Buddhist Dharma or teachings is completely wrong. He casts aside his sword, then follows the right path and finally became an arahant or "Perfect One", after he hears the Buddha's words of wisdom: "I have stopped, but it is you who have not".
