- Synopsis
- One day THE BOSS OF THE UNIVERSE (voice of Christopher Lee) appoints JOY (Selma Brook), a young angel in training, to take on a job in Notting Hill.
  
  Her client GEOFFREY (Ryan Mercier) is a lonely, unattractive young man, who hardly notices anything besides his sad memories. He shares a shabby little bedsit with his "flatmate", the toy dog MR. PRESIDENT (voice of Sir Christopher Lee), a last memory of his dead fiancé REBECCA (Renée Castle).
  
  Geoffrey is so stubbornly stuck in his memories that it even upsets Rebecca’s ghost. Joy’s job is to bring him back to life – but instead, he falls in love with his angel.
  
  Geoffrey works in “Alice’s” - a magical wonderland of fairground relics with a macabre collection of skeletons and stuffed animals. His boss, MISS ALICE MAPLE (Tina Gray), is a wise old lady with a deep trust in life, although her shop is nearly bankrupt.
  
  Joy attracts Geoffrey’s attention. She has the power to appear anywhere at any time in any shape. She loves her human body almost too much for an angel. A while ago she has been human herself, but she hates to remember that time.
  
  Magic becomes routine in Geoffrey’s life. Even his toy companion, Mr. President, begins to talk and turns out to be a good, sarcastic friend. After a mysterious dinner Geoffrey even meets Rebecca’s spirit who begs him to let her go.
  
  Next day he meets SUZIE (Stefanie Wallis), a dubious backstreet-girl, who lives on a riverboat. It could become a serious romance – but it starts with a big disappointment...
  
  Joy and Geoffrey sign a pact: she will stay with him until he sends her away. An angel as girlfriend? Dream and reality clash. Hopes turn into headaches.
  
  A comedy of errors and terrors that will only end, when they are ready to move on in life - on earth or somewhere else...
