Synopsis
Mika, 34, returns to her native Poland to see her father, perhaps for the last time. He is hospitalized, in critical condition. It has been eighteen years since Mika saw him, since a head trauma caused him a radical change of personality. He had then left Mika and her mother to start a new life and family. Back in Warsaw, Mika finds out her father has now forgotten the past twenty years. He is convinced that she is still a teenager and that they are still very close. Mika then undertook to visit the places of her past, watch old family videos and see again the people who were important at different times of her life. Between visits to her father disconnected from reality, appointments with the neurologist and Skype conversations with her husband, she explores different aspects of her own identity as if to wonder who she really is, to find out what her “me” is. In the course of this quest, love, knowledge, gaze on the world, desire, memories fade, transform, mingle.
