She has gathered supporters and volunteers around the world, from Australia to Switzerland, and is a global humanitarian and spiritual leader who, through her example, has inspired millions to commit to those in need and to building a more tolerant world. Gifted with tireless dedication and love for others, Amma is known for her unprecedented way of expressing compassion: her famous hug. A simple gesture that, over the course of her lifetime, she has shared with over 39 million people.   Known in the West for her famous darshan or blessing embrace, Amma (Mata Amritanandamayi Devi) has tirelessly travelled the whole world for the past 35 years to reach out to people.
  She has served and continues to serve millions of people in a multitude of needed ways, such as providing free quality healthcare, quality education, sheltering and relief support after natural disasters. The energy that Amma uses comes from the heart (caring, inspiring, supporting, empowering) and not from the controlling power that has been dominant for centuries and which time has shown clearly is no longer viable. The documentary shows how Amma has managed to create not just remarkable structures and organizations, but also to inspire people with her spiritual culture of care and service that manifests in each aspect of their practical daily life.
  
  The documentary includes the contributions of Swami Amritaswarupananda Puri, Swamini Krishnamrita Prana, Swamini Amritajyoti Prana, Swami Shubamritananda Puri, Swami Shantamritananda Puri, Dr. Bhavani Rao, Matti Rajakyla (Akhilesh), a former Olympic swimmer from Finland and Sreeram Kongeseri, a researcher.
