    • Synopsis
    • Told in their own words, co-directed by Joshua Homme and Andreas Neumannm filmed and photographed from within their inner sanctum and set to the sounds of the studio and live recordings, AMERICAN VALHALLA is the story of when Iggy Pop met Joshua Homme in the Californian desert and together they overcame the doubters and the critics and created and toured Iggy’s final album, Post Pop Depression. That’s just on the surface.
Beneath it and unfolding in tandem with the musical and creative process – captured in stunning and unseen cinematography – is a much more powerful and evocative human story taking audiences as close as they will ever get to Iggy Pop in the 21st century. A musical adventure that starts out with a fairly straight question about what became the Post Pop Depression album, quickly evolves into a powerfully introspective, seductive and unexpected human story.
