- Synopsis
- American Underdog is the story of an Indian-American immigrant and amateur MMA fighter, fresh out of jail; a Prodigal Son who must redeem and rebuild his life to become a better man. During an unexpected encounter in a convenience store our protagonist steps in to stop a robbery, and finds himself suddenly and uncomfortably in the limelight hailed as a local hero. He is entered into a local MMA tournament, and in order to win, he must look deep within to overcome his past transgressions in order to find redemption and move forward.
