The film tells with an accurate intimacy the daily life of the president Dilma Rousseff in her official residence – the Alvorada Palace – during the most dramatic time in Brazilian’s recent history: the impeachment trial that removed from power the first and only woman to rule Brazil. Although the verdict takes a long time, the impeachment can be felt in the hallways of the palace designed by Oscar Niemeyer. We follow the come and go of official meetings, the daily routine of the kitchen, the change of guards, the whispering that goes around, the endless phone calls. We witness the growing tension of the president, the employees, the advisors, and the ex- ministers, all completely speechless by what’s happening. As the days go by, the movie reveals the surprising personality of Dilma, portraying her having informal talks about politics, history, literature and especially about herself.
