- Synopsis
- Hideaki Asa, a former boxing champion, was forced to retire after sustaining a cranial injury during a bout. Now he lives in obscurity while working part-time for a security company, still suffering the after-effects of his head trauma.
  When a stray cat named Maru, the only source of solace in Asa’s life, goes missing, he runs into Ikumi Umetsu, an auto repair shop worker who adopts Maru and renames her “Lily.” After arguing over the cat’s true identity and ownership, Umetsu decides to call Asa “Maru,” and Asa returns the favor by calling Umetsu “Lily.”
  Then one day, Asa’s boxing background leads to his company sending him to act as a bodyguard for a single mother named Saeko Tsuchiya. She is being stalked by her former boyfriend Toshiro Tamaki, and needs someone to watch over her while she breaks up with him once and for all. It sounds like a simple job on paper, until Umetsu appears out of nowhere and ends up hitting Tamaki, which complicates matters further. Asa and Umetsu reluctantly become caught up in Tamaki’s relentless pursuit of Saeko and her young son Hayato, and then mysterious figures from Saeko’s past arrive on the scene, as their situation becomes increasingly desperate. To save Saeko and Hayato from the forces that threaten them, the now fiercely determined Asa and Umetsu drive to Tokyo...
