    • Synopsis
    • The Ecuadorian soccer player Alberto Spencer was not only an star in the mythic Club Peñarol of Uruguay, he also became Ecuador’s general consul in Uruguay but most import he was a paradigm among the afro descendants in both countries. To tell his story is to talk about yesterday’s and today’s soccer, about the poetry of soccer narrators and what it meant to wear a team’s shirt as oppose to today’s mediatisation and mercantilism of sports. The ethics of a person and an époque confronted with today’s soccer reality.
