Not so many years ago, during every Carnival, there were men at Satriano, in the south of Italy, who used to cover themselves with ivy until they became unrecognizable, as strange, ghostly-like walking trees. A rite, dating back to the middle ages, that started to disappear in the last years. ALBERI, an installation, plays with the past and the present. Through the tools of a cinematic language, it brings back to existence something that had sunk into the intangible dimension of memory. From the past to the present back into the past; from fiction to reality, from invisible to visible, from memory to film. ALBERI breaks the dimension of time, opening an endless loop.
