    • Synopsis
    • The documentary captures the worldwide impact of Mahatma Gandhi’s message of Ahimsa (Non-Violence) and decodes its power. It offers a compelling narrative of the impact of Non-Violence in some of the seminal political movements of the 20th century, such as the Civil Rights Movement in USA, the Solidarity Movement in Poland, The Velvet Revolution of Havel, and the Anti-Apartheid strife in South Africa. The film underscores why Ahimsa remains the most powerful tool for conflict resolution even today.
The documentary feature is produced and directed by the team that did the Emmy nominated film, THE JOURNALIST AND THE JIHADI. It was shot in India, South Africa, US and Europe and tracks the influence of Gandhi’s non-violence approach and the influence on world leaders from Martin Luther King Jr. to the late Congressman John Lewis, Lech Walesa, Nelson Mandela, Vaclav Havel and His Holiness The Dalai Lama.
U2 and AR Rahman have done the title track. In light of the violence and the racism that is prevailing in the world today, not only in the United States but also the rise of Nationalism in Hong Kong, Gandhi’s message of Ahimsa is even more relevant today.
