    • Synopsis
    • Raymond, a 22-year-old DREAMer who was raised since infancy in Houston, Texas moves back in with his father, Miguel, in Mexico City shortly after his deportation. He almost immediately submits a tourist visa application to the US government, in hopes of a quick return, despite warnings of how difficult it will be. He initially finds the transition to life in Mexico not easy, with a language barrier, and resentment for being away from his mother and younger brother, JT. His father doesn’t make matters any easier as he bitterly attempts to keep up with the role of authoritarian father, especially after feeling his mother ripped him away from him.

Fortunately, Raymond finds work at an American Call Center and makes a friend, Hector, who helps him get acquainted with Mexico’s Social nightlife. On an outing, Raymond meets Monica, a young woman who he quickly connects with. Though Raymond excels at work and strengthens his bonds with his newfound friend and love interest, he can’t seem to cope with the notion that he may never be able to return to his home and family.
