    • Without a father at home, Serginho has become the man of the house, forced to leave school to earn a living and take care of his mother and younger brother. No longer a boy, not yet a man, he begins to find himself when two friendships come into his life; one with a professor who brings affection he never expected and one with a circus performer who offers him a chance to find a new family. Absence" won the Best Actor Prize (for Matheus Fagundes) and the Special Jury Prize at the Rio International Film Festival. It also won four awards at Fest Aruanda 2014 (BR), after being exhibited at the 38th São Paulo International Film Festival.
