    • Elementary school teacher Michele Cortese is about
      to start a whole new life. After 40 years teaching
      in the metropolitan Roman jungle, he’s now
      moving to a small town in Central Italy, to teach
      in a single-class school of children aged 7-10. He
      finds a friendly face in vice-principal Agnese, and
      with her help and that of the students, he gradually
      manages to overcome his urban inadequacy and to
      fit in. But, just when everything seems to be falling
      into place, the unwelcome news arrives that the
      school has failed to meet its student quota for the
      next year and will close forever in the summer.
      A race against time starts to avoid the shutdown,
      whatever this may take.
