Summer 1927, love at first sight in Saint-Malo. Elisabeth, a young woman from Brittany, marries the cousin of the King of Afghanistan. As the couple travels to Kabul, the progressive king is overthrown. Afghan women lose their newly acquired rights. Elisabeth fights for their emancipation.
