  The film narrates the journey of this country girl who reaches the highest circles of international society.
  After losing everything and rebuilding herself, she breaks the silence that was imposed on him for almost his entire life.
  Maria Thereza Goulart's biopic has as background the recent history of a Brazil that has not yet made peace with its past. In telling the journey of the couple John and Mary (João Goulart and Maria Thereza), we are also trying to understand the country today. For this reason, themes such as the military dictatorship, behind the scenes of the political game, machismo, and the role of women in society are the dominant tones of the narrative.
