- Synopsis
- Shanghai native Chaochao is blessed with two talents. She is an expert potter as well as a gourmand with an expert knowledge of food. Sadly, she’s also been diagnosed with cancer. When her best friend and five-star restaurant chef Li Shing, working in Beijing, finally breaks down and proposes marriage, she turns him down, convinced her treatment will fail. She does, however, promise that if she makes it through the next five years, they’d have their wedding.
  Following years of painful treatment, Chaochao treks to Beijing to win Li Shing back—and away from his fiancée. Though she initially planned on sabotaging the wedding, Chaochao can’t bring herself to carry out the plan when she sees how happy he is. When Li Shing admits his engagement is a sham, she’s equally enraged by his duplicity and thrilled by his declaration of love. But history repeats itself when Chaochao gets medical news that confirms her worst fears.
