- Synopsis
- Adam is 50 years old and the epitome of mediocrity. He has had a series of failures in life, in addition, his aunt has just died, and the apartment he inherited has been flooded by a troublesome upstairs neighbor. The man visits her and tries to intervene. An encounter with 55-year-old Celina, who is in the throes of alcohol addiction, turns into an emotional rollercoaster, with resentment, mutual fascination, closeness and violence mixed in. In place of disgust and indifference, a shadow of deeper affection creeps in. Adam begins to believe that Celina can be reborn. Celina, repeatedly wounded by successive men, is skeptical and distrustful. Suicide seems to her to be a simpler solution than breaking out of her years of frolic. What will she choose?
