    • Synopsis
    • After forty years living in Tehran, an older couple are moving back to their idyllic home town, Avajigh, on Iran's border with Turkey. The majority of townsfolk are Azeri, the largest ethnic minority in Iran. Returning home is a joy for the couple after years of hard slog as an under-appreciated ethnic minority in the capital. But things in Avajiqh aren't perfect; it is located on a people-smuggling route towards Europe, and every citizen is connected in some way. Our returnees struggle to reconcile their homelands with the harsher realities they are discovering.
