    • Synopsis
    • Nicolás Prividera, director of M (about the search of his missing mother) and Fatherland (about the Argentinian history that led to the last dictatorship), learns that his father suffers from Alzheimer's disease. He then feels that this irony of destiny forces him to complete those two films with a sort of final act (an involuntary trilogy, as he wanted to escape the subject at every step, to fall back into it), and decides that that film (his farewell to an issue that crosses contemporary culture) can only be called "A Farewell to Memory". But it is not a "subjective" documentary or a praise of oblivion, but a look at that edge in which personal memory merges with social memory. A journey that takes us from an impenetrable diary that belongs to the mother, to impossible dialogues with the father, from old family movies, to the traces of memories shared by each generation, from the ghosts of the city to the quest for the cult of memory in the contemporary world. A closure that returns to the origin.
