    • Synopsis
    • Roland and his mother Julia are two Australians who have lived in exile in Sweden since the late 60s. Julia is a former showgirl with shattered dreams of a glamorous life, always drawn to abusive men and wanting more out of life. Her son Roland is a quite satisfied man, who often escapes a cruel world through music and in his own fantasies up in space. Since the decline of Roland’s mental health they both live in strong symbiosis and help each other out with daily chores. More often than not, they have very different views of the world and their own lives. When Julia’s cancer becomes critical and her imminent death is a reality, they start searching for peace through elusive memories. In order to find it, they both have to deal with their troubled past and painful relationship.
