    • Taiwan’s health insurance system is among the world's best. Not only is it affordable for all, but it also offers top-notch medical technology. While such a system is praiseworthy, it has resulted in the extensive practice of futile medical care.

Dr. Yu-Zheng Wu has long advocated for an end to futile medical care in Taiwan, hoping to stop the suffering of patients - until he meets Jin-Yu Liu at the respiratory care center.

Jin-Yu is 25 years old this year. Seven years ago, a car accident gave him a cervical spine injury. He became paralyzed and bedridden, since that, he has spent yearning to end his life.

Dr. Wu hopes to hear from Jin-Yu on the immense pain he experiences as a patient of futile medical care, but when they grow closer, the doctor suddenly finds himself wanting to help restore Jin-Yu 's will to live…
For 25 years, Wei-Wei and his mother have relied on each other to survive. Having graduated from college, He starts working so that his mother can retire and both of them can start a new life. However, his mother has an unexpected stroke and in critical condition. Wei-Wei knows his mother won't recover and must remain bedridden indefinitely, he plans to end her treatment for preventing her from suffering. But then, learning from his mother's medical record that he was adopted as a child, he is forced to reevaluate whether he should give up his life to take care of his mother.
