- Synopsis
- In outport Newfoundland, it is often left to one enterprising family to literally taxi the residents of the town from cradle to grave—offering wedding, funeral and ambulance services all under the same roof. This is a story about one such family—the Furys. Howl with laughter one minute, wipe away a tear the next. Starring Canadian comedy icon Mary Walsh, A Christmas Fury begins with matriarch, Mamie Lou (Walsh), about to make a big life change. Her plans are derailed, however, by the arrival of a child who puts the chaos back in Christmas and sends everyone reeling. With the family business up for grabs, the siblings are at each other’s throat. Meanwhile, there’s a wedding and a funeral to plan. What could possibly go wrong? Well, everything, as it turns out. Just be sure to have an extra pair of underwear handy. You know, better safe than sorry.
