- Synopsis
- Four destitute pallbearers take up an offer that they see as an opportunity to change their lives and get rid of their unwanted job– an occupation they got involved in as a temporary money-maker but ended up stuck with. Their task is, in exchange for a promised, large fee, to fulfill the dying wish of a Greek man who lived all his life abroad: to carry him on foot, in his coffin, from Athens to a small village in Viotia so that he can be buried there. In carrying out this peculiar request, they get caught up in an odyssey that will turn into an unexpected journey of self-awareness.
