    • Synopsis
    • Martín (45), obsessed with Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, tries to focus on composing a symphony about the Malvinas War. His work has been preselected for a prestigious competition in Vienna and he must finish the last three movements.
Victoria (37), his partner and former left-wing political activist, is pregnant. She needs help preparing an important dinner that they have both planned for tonight: to seduce Federico (42), Victoria's brother and a successful architect, into selling them half of the house they inherited from their father, where Martín and Victoria live. Federico has always refused to part with the house and has always found excuses not to sell, so it will not be easy to convince him.
As the organizational chaos continues to unfold, a heavy rain starts to fall over Buenos Aires. At that moment, Federico bursts into the house with his own keys, showing o his controlling and dominant personality. After greeting his sister affectionately, he asks his brother-in-law to pay the taxi, a gesture that fills Martín with resentment.
On leaving, Martín discovers that the taxi driver is a veteran of the Malvinas War. Driven by his ambition, Martín ignores tonight's plans and persuades Leonardo (56), the veteran taxi driver, to share a chat inside the house. Martín feels that he cannot miss the great opportunity to approach the war firsthand as the 19th century composers used to do.
Despite the initial resistance that Victoria and Federico feel about Martín's initiative, the conversation flows quickly and everyone ends up succumbing to Leonardo's charm and anecdotes.
The night continues its course, but as the war topic is deepened from different ideologies and the exchange of opinions becomes more blunt, the conflicts begin to
manifest themselves. The inescapable rift that opens up between the four of them exposes the most human miseries, thus unleashing, in the name of peace, another war.
