- Synopsis
- In this post-apocalyptic world, what is left of humanity and civilization has found safety in a limited warmer climate near the equator, the rest of the world is covered in an arctic wasteland (the zero zone) infested with frozen zombies (popsicles) and lawless humans (bandits). The bandit leader, El Teniente sets a trap for Dr. Nava to come rescue his wife at an outpost deep the zero zone and bring with him the only cure to the popsicle epidemic. After a deadly face off with El Teniente Nava’s wife is nowhere to be found. Assuming she changed into a popsicle Nava spends most of his life searching for her becoming embittered along the way. Nava eventually finds his wife, a popsicle queen who rejects Nava’s serum and instead tempts Nava to join her as a popsicle. In the end Nava realizes his hope became an addiction and he must let go of his wife.
