Description
Weydemann Bros. produces films for the national and the international market. We have a vision of a narrative cinema that is both entertaining and political. For us film is always a critical look at the world and the times we live in. With our films we do not only hope to get people laughing and crying, but to inform them and inspire them to contemplate. Weydemann Bros. is alumni of the start-up grant 'Mediengründerzentrum Köln' and we have won the Robert Bosch Co-Production Prize 2010 and 2011 and the Gerd Ruge Stipendium 2010 and 2011, as well as the First Steps Award 2014. Our films have been shown on festivals around the world like the Berlinale, Shanghai, Moscow, Rome, Guadalajara, Los Angeles, San Sebastian, Sarajevo, Sofia, Thessaloniki, Hamburg, St. Petersburg and many more and have won various international prizes, among which an official entry for the Best Foreign Language Oscar.Weydemann Bros. are members of the German Producers Association VDFP, the Film and Media Ass
