Kriterion was founded in 1945 to enable students to finance their studies themselves. To this day, the concept of Kriterion is unique in the Netherlands and ,as far as we know, in the world: a non-hierarchical company that is entirely run by students. With this approach, Kriterion has developed into a cultural institute where a diverse audience meets to enjoy the cozy café and varied range of films.
