Description
The Taormina Film Festival is one of the oldest and most prestigious film events in Europe - and the preeminent summer film festival in Italy. Our Gala screenings take place in the stunning 2,300-year old Greek Ancient Theatre, the spectacular venue of choice for the premieres of new Italian and international films. And the Palazzo dei Congressi and Casa del Cinema theatres are ideal venues for both innovative programming and cinephile retrospectives.
Objective
Culture and glamour, entertainment and new currents, social evolution through cinema and tourism have created a unique mix in the history of the 70 editions of the International Film Festival, launched in Messina during the summer of 1955 by a group of local film-lovers. The 70th TFF will be held July 13-19, 2024.
