Description
SUBSTANCE FILMS is an independent production company based in Costa Rica that brings intimate stories to national and international audiences. We dare to give voice to our emotions. The film "El despertar de las hormigas" by Antonella Sudasassi Furniss, represented Costa Rica at the Academy Awards, became the first Central American film to be nominated to a Goya Award, and the first Costa Rican to win a Platino Award. We are currently finishing her second film, Memories of a burning body.
