In 1998, Bonne Smith founded Star PR, a Toronto-based company that specializes in Canadian publicity for independent films. Since that time, Star PR has overseen the Canadian publicity for over 1,500 features – both international (Blue Is the Warmest Color; Blue Jasmine; Boyhood; Brooklyn; Call My by Your Name; Capote; Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon; Manchester by the Sea; Midnight in Paris; Pain and Glory; Parallel Mothers; Shoplifters; Whiplash) and Canadian (Jean-Marc Vallée’s’ C.R.A.Z.Y.
