Description

This UK-based company is involved in the production of independent feature films and documentaries. It has to date produced, in co-production with some of the most reputed players in the world, two internationally-acclaimed cross-cultural features : "Jaya Ganga" and "One Dollar Curry", both written and directed by Vijay Singh. We also provide consultancy services to select producers in the fields of international co-production, international sales, and shooting in India. Silhouette Films have also the competence to set up Master Classes programmes for film festivals, as they did recently for the International Film Festival of India, Goa, 2005. We have also undertaken theatrical distribution of films in the UK.

Objective

We are currently developing Vijay Singh's new film based on his novel Whirlpool of Shadows, which was chosen by Barry Unsworth (Booker Prize 1991) in The Sunday Times, UK, as one of the three best "Books of 1991". The film explores the romance between a beautiful English girl and a hilariously mad Indian King, a love that does not suit the interests of the rising British ambitions in India.
