SCANORAMA DISTRIBUTION
Description
Apart from organizing film festival, SCANORAMA also acquires rights for distribution of films in Lithuania and in the Baltic region. Distribution scheme covers the biggest cities and a variety of smaller towns, further away from the capital. In 2018 the most successful distribution was of the winner of Palme d’Or, Ruben's Östlund's “The Square“, also “Happy End“ by Michael Haneke, “Loveless“ by Andrey Zvyagintsev, „Telma“ by Joachim Trier.
Objective
Distribution list of 2019 autumn edition of SCANORAMA already include three intriguing films to be shown at this year‘s festival and promoted further – “Swoon“ by Måns Mårlind & Björn Stein, “Out Stealing Horses“ by Hans Petter Moland and "Sonja: The White Swan" by Anne Sewitsky. When selecting films for distribution, SCANORAMA seeks to balance purchase of films from countries with high production capacity and countries with low production capacity
