RioFilme is a company owned by the City of Rio de Janeiro and operates in the areas of distribution, support for the expansion of the exhibiting market, stimulation of audience formation and promotion of audiovisual production, aiming at the effective development of the audiovisual industry in Rio de Janeiro. The Rio Film Commission, a department of RioFilme, a governmental agency that is part of Secretary of Culture of the Rio de Janeiro City Hall, executes the public policy of film commission, which seeks to support, facilitate and attract audiovisual productions to the City of Rio de Janeiro. Our main focus is to offer specialized service to the audiovisual industry, with the central objective of enhancing the city as an audiovisual hub and destination for productions, whether local or international.
