Description
Founded in 2014 by film producer and screenwriter Jeremy Chua, Pōtocol is an independent film company based in Singapore that focuses on the international co-productions of director-driven Asian films. Recent completed works include Inside the Yellow Cocoon Shell by Pham Thien An (Camera D’Or winner, Quinzaine des Cinéastes 2023), Tomorrow is a long time by Jow Zhi Wei (Berlinale 2023), and Autobiography by Makbul Mubarak (FIPRESCI award – Venice Orrizonti 2022).
Objective
We are currently gap financing the last 25 percent financing for FAMILY EVENTS by Ying Liang. Seeking international co-producers for TOMORROW IS A LONG TIME by Jow Zhi Wei, a Singaporean first film developed at the Jerusalem International Film Lab 2016. Seeking Japanese co-producer for YOU ARE THERE by Nicole Woodford, a Singaporean first film shooting in Japan that is being developed at SEAFIC Lab 2017.
