Description
Libra Film is an independent film/TV production company founded by Tudor Giurgiu in 1994.Between 2000-2018, Libra produced more than 40 films (features, shorts and docs), with a focus on international co-productions.Main titles: "Katalin Varga" (2009), by Peter Strickland, Silver Bear winner (2009) and European Discovery of the Year at the EFA Awards, "Superman, Spiderman or Batman", by Tudor Giurgiu, 2012 Best European Short Film at EFA Awards.
Objective
Our main focus is developing European and Int'l co-productions as well as local TV series. We are also offering production services to foreign partners interested to shoot in Romania due to the 2018 introduction of a tax incentive system which offers 35% cash rebate on qualified expenditure. Romania has a lot to offer - experienced film crews, good studio infrastructure and amazing outdoor locations especially in Transylvania, so we do hope we can be a reliable partner.
