Founded by Arij Al-Soltan in 2022 and taking its inspiration from the thriving Sumerian civilisation, Larsa Films Ltd. aims to create a platform for emerging filmmakers from Iraq and the wider MENA region. Larsa Films brings fresh stories and unexplored perspectives to counter popular narratives in film and TV. To date, Larsa Films has made Tabbouleh & Pie, Safia, Beneath a Mother’s Feet and has in development First Day For Life, Playing The Part and The Nightingale.
