The Iranian Youth Cinema Society (IYCS), founded in 1976, is a private, non-profit organization supporting young, independent filmmakers. With over 60 branches nationwide, it offers training in filmmaking, screenwriting, animation, and more. IYCS also hosts the annual Tehran Intl. Short Film Festival—an OSCARS®-qualifying event with 40+ years of history. Furthermore, IYCS funds short films through a national pitching platform to support emerging talents and promote Iranian cinema worldwide.
