Description
The Houston Film Commission, a division of Houston First Corporation, was founded in 1987 with the purpose of promoting the greater City of Houston & Harris County areas as a film & television production destination. Houston, America’s fourth-largest city, is a cosmopolitan destination filled with world-class dining, arts, hotels, shopping and nightlife. Take a stroll through the historic Heights, spend the day exploring the Museum District or head down to Space Center Houston.
Objective
In 2021, some of the companies that produced features and TV in the Houston area are MTV, LifetimeTV, VH1, Netflix, A24, ABC, and more. Recent Cannes premiered features that filmed in the greater Houston area are BULL (Cannes 2019) and RED ROCKET (Cannes 2021).
